About PressViable™

PressViable™ models newsroom operating budgets and staffing plans against real economic baselines — US Census ACS 5-Year estimates, BLS OEWS wage data, Census County Business Patterns, and IRS 990-PF foundation extracts — rather than the spreadsheet assumptions that usually underwrite a launch plan. Every score is traceable to a public dataset, so the gap between a plan and its market is visible before capital is committed.

The tool is built for two audiences, and both draw on the same engine. Funders and institutions evaluating an organization's financial stability get an audit-style underwriting verdict; founders building a realistic launch plan get the same numbers framed as a coaching read on what to work on. Toggle the audience framing on the landing page or dashboard to switch between them — the underlying calculations don't change.

PressViable™ is designed and built by Yonatan Greenbaum, part of a family of local-news viability tools: NewsGrade, AI Readiness Check, and the shared Methodology reference.
